  Online Giving
- These cards are available at the entrances of the church for online givers who would like to put something in the collection at mass.
- The Saint Michael Parish Memorial Fund provides the opportunity to make a donation in memory of a loved one. Donations can be made online selecting the Memorial Fund and including a name in the Notes section.

2025 parish Offertory Commitment Program (OCP)
- Thank you to over 400 (and growing) Parish families who have pledged to the calendar year 2025 Offertory Commitment Program to date. We are receiving new pledges as well as increased pledges from existing donors. Parishioners continue to join our online giving program.
- Please prayerfully consider supporting St. Michael Parish.
  In 2002, St. Michael Parish began the Offertory Commitment Program, enabling us to rely on only one offertory collection to sustain and enhance parish programs, activities, and services. The Offertory Commitment Program has ensured our financial viability and allowed us to commit to the future of our vibrant parish. We ask, therefore, that each parishioner renew or make a new offertory commitment to assist us in meeting our operating expenses, and other financial commitments, such as our charitable giving. We invite each parishioner to prayerfully reflect upon the gifts that God has bestowed upon them and to make a commitment that reflects their thanks.
  
  The highlights of this program are as follows:
  
  1. All second and special collections have been eliminated with the exception of Retired Priests of the Archdiocese, Retired Religious Women, The Society of the Propagation of the Faith, and unusual circumstances such as natural disasters. St. Michael’s sets aside a percentage of our offertory to support other charitable programs locally, nationally, and internationally, including St. Vincent de Paul Society, Pastoral Outreach, and Scholarship Aid.
  
  2. Each parishioner has the opportunity to choose that method of offertory commitment that best suits their style of giving. These contribution options include annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly or weekly offertory commitments.
  
  3. If you would like to fulfill your financial commitment to the parish by using your weekly envelopes, please continue to do so. We will continue to have a single weekly offertory collection at all Masses.

  5. Please note that our annual Easter and Christmas Appeals will not be included in your annual commitment as these funds are used to assist in the retirement and medical needs of our priests.

  · If you have set up an online recurring donation with an expiration date of 12/31/24 you will need to set up a new pledge for 2025 for your donations to continue.

- PLANNED GIVING
  
  Many discover that their long-range estate and financial plans provide a thoughtful way to make memorial gifts in honor of others.
  
  Consider the following:
  
  A gift included in your will or living trust.
  
  A gift of excess retirement funds and/or, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs).
  
  Life Insurance Policies whose protection is no longer needed.

- The tax law eliminated the need for some parishioners to itemize deductions for charitable contributions.
  
  - Some have chosen to “bundle” their charitable deductions by donating double the annual contribution every other year in order to receive a meaningful tax benefit.
  - Charitable donations from Traditional IRA’s have now become more appealing than ever. An otherwise taxable required minimum distribution (up to $100,000 per person) can be made directly to Saint Michael’s. In addition to reducing the individual’s adjusted gross income, these qualified donations may significantly reduce one’s income and estate tax.
  - Some parishioners have established donor-advised funds. Contributions to the fund are available for an immediate tax deduction even though the fund may not disburse them to the charity until a future date. Contributions of appreciated securities offer qualified individuals significant tax and non-tax benefits.
  - Non-itemizers can receive a tax deduction up to $600 married, $300 single.
  
  Consult with your tax advisor to determine if you can take advantage of any of these donation strategies for tax purposes.
- Weekly Offertory Envelopes
  
  Giving envelopes are mailed on a monthly basis, upon request, to parishioners who contribute on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Matching Gifts
  
  Many companies will match an employees donation to charitable organizations. You may want to find out if St. Michael Parish or School is eligible for a matching gift.
- Special Donations
  
  Donations may be made separately from memorial and church offertory and memorial donations such as a Thank You gift to the Parish. When making a donation online you can include a message in the Notes section.
