CENTERING PRAYERParticipants become familiar with the Bible, its richness, its depth, and its pathway to the Lord. Studying the Scriptures helps one to grow in relationship with God and God’s people.

CURSILLO/ULTREYACentering Prayer is a taught method of prayer traditionally called, “contemplative prayer.” It’s having a conversation, often without words, with Christ who makes his dwelling place within you.

ECUMENICAL OUTREACHCursillo is a retreat, a weekend away that gives those who attend, a new understanding of basic Christian truths and imparts a desire to serve the Church. ULTREYA is the monthly evening faith-sharing that follows after the Cursillo.

Throughout the year the local clergy convene to discuss ways of promoting Christian values. St. Michael's is also a member of Communities Together (formerly Greater Lawrence Council of Churches), whose purpose is to encourage unity in the Body of Christ.EUCHARISTIC ADORATIONOpportunity to participate: As needed for special events. Being an ambassador to Communities Together requires attendance at quarterly meetings.

Eucharistic Adoration is a way to quiet ourselves and sit in the presence of Jesus, alive in the Blessed Sacrament. What a gift!Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is taking place every Monday evening in the church from 4 to 7 PM.

OUR LADY CENACLE GROUPJust like Mary and Joseph, pilgrims travel to Bethlehem! The church and pastoral center are transformed into Bethlehem the first weekend of December! Pilgrims discover what life was like 2000 years ago and, more importantly, discover the Baby, lying in the manger! This ministry seeks to bring the true meaning of Christmas back into focus. Helpers of all ages are needed as sewers, actors, tour guides, stage crew, artists, reservationists, organizers, and more!

PRAYER LINE MINISTRYThe “Cenacle of the Marian Movement of Priests” prays for all priests and their walk towards purity and holiness.

RESPECT LIFE MINISTRYThis silent, but powerful ministry consists of a group of fervent faithful who believe that God truly listens to every one of our prayers.
Participation: Right in your own home, be ready to receive requests for prayer intentions and devote time to pray for those needs.

ROSARY MINISTRYThis ministry provides prayer, education and service , focused on our basic belief that life is precious from the moment of conception to the moment of natural death.
ST. MICHAEL MEN’S PRAYER GROUPThe Rosary Ministry teaches the rosary, its mysteries and prayers, to the students of our parish school and religious education program. This ministry leads the prayer at 8:30am, Monday through Saturday in the church. The Rosary Ministry also visits our local nursing homes to pray the rosary with our cherished elderly and infirm friends.
Participation: Join us any weekday for prayer or volunteer to lead the rosary for the students or nursing home residents!

As a men’s group, we support each other on our Christian walk. We discuss the readings for the upcoming Sunday Mass and conclude with intercessory prayers.

SMALL FAITH-SHARING GROUPS: MAKING CONNECTIONS:
Small faith-sharing groups that explore the foundations of our faith. There are many groups that meet (6—week sessions in the fall and Lent) in either neighborhood homes or at the pastoral center. You can even get some friends together to start your own group!
