Often the first contact newcomers and guests have with the St. Michael Parish family, this team requires a welcoming and helpful attitude to all who enter the doors of the church.

In preparation of the Eucharistic Feast, this group washes and irons the linens, and liturgical cloths and they decorate the sanctuary for the liturgical seasons and special events.
Opportunity to participate: Once per month and/or special events. Choose one of the task.

The mission of the Eucharistic Ministers is to assist the priests of the parish with the distribution of Holy Communion at all liturgies.

“Along with the deacon, the priest, and the bishop, the Lector is entrusted with the crucial task of making the Word of God come alive by proclaiming it for the Christian assembly. (Workbook for Lectors and Gospel Readers)
Witness: "‘The Word of God is alive and active!’ (Hebrews 4:12) As a lector I have the opportunity to prayerfully meditate on the Sunday readings and as I do, I feel the Word of God speaking to me and transforming me.” – B
Opportunity to participate:
Adults: One Mass per month.
Junior Lectors: 5th grade to High School (9:00 and 6PM Mass only).

The music ministry leads people, through music, into becoming more fully alive in Christ. St. Michael’s music ministry, with its cantors, adult and children choirs, contemporary music ministry and varied instrumentalists, serve at all weekend liturgies, as well as at special events.
Witness: “Singing is praying twice because we use our whole bodies to sing! I am so filled with joy when I sing praises to God!” - M
